Stock Transaction Editor - How it Works

Sage Line 50 / Sage 50 Accounts Stock Transaction Editor button on Products Module Tool Bar

Run the program by:

If you have Financial Controller you can run the program by clicking the button on the Sage Line 50 Product module tool bar.
Or by selecting “Adept Tools” and then “Stock Transaction Editor” from the Windows Start Button / Programs Menu.

Set the Program's Options:

These options allow you to select the fields that the operator will be allowed to edit.

The window can be resized by dragging the corners or edges.
The status bar at the bottom of the window will display a progress bar when the program is busy.

The main areas of the window are:

A list of your Products
A list of the Stock Transaction for the selected Product
The contents of the selected Stock Transaction.

Company Box

The Company Name from your Sage Line 50 data files will be displayed here.

Menu Button

Click this button to display the program's menu.

Sage Line 50 / Sage 50 Accounts Stock Transaction Editor Menu

Edit Button

Press this button to edit the selected Stock Transaction.
This button changes to become the Save button when you are in edit mode.

To Edit a Stock Transaction

Select the required Product by clicking on it in the List of Products.
Select the required Stock Transaction by clicking on it in the List of Stock Transactions.
Press the Edit button.
The fields that you can edit (as set in 'Options' above) will change to a white background
When you change the contents of a field the text will be coloured pink.
Press the Save button to save your changes or the Cancel button to abandon the edit.

N.B. If you amend the cost price of the last inwards (GI, AI or MI) transaction and you have enabled amendments to the "Last CP Field", the program will automatically adjust the Last CP amount. You can also amend this field manually when you edit any transaction.

Simple and Straightforward

Installation of the Stock Transaction Editor for Sage Line 50 / Sage 50 is simple and straightforward and should take no more than a few minutes. Comprehensive step-by-step instructions are provided.

Prior to installation you will need to:

Ensure that you have installed all the appropriate patches and updates from the Sage update site for your version of Sage (comprehensive notes are provided with the download)
Obtain from Sage a Serial and Activation key to enable '3rd Party Integration'.
Notes and telephone numbers are provided with the download but Sage will want to know the main serial number for your copy of Sage and the version number - found by going to Sage 50,'s HELP / ABOUT menu option.
N.B. The same 3rd Party Integration keys can be used for all addons that require them

A fully functional 30 day free trial of Sage 50 Stock Transaction Editor is available.
