Run the Sage 50 Address CSV Import program by:
- If you have Financial Controller you can run the program by clicking the button on the Sage Line 50 Customer module tool bar.
- Or by selecting “Adept Tools” and then “Address CSV Import ” from the Windows Start Button / Programs Menu.
Set the Sage 50 Address CSV Import Options:

Currently the program has two options and if in doubt you should leave both boxes unticked.
Unix Compatibility
CSV files created on a UNIX computer usually use a single Line Feed to terminate each record whereas Windows computers will terminate each record with a Carriage Return Line Feed combination. If you tick the "UNIX Compatibility" box the program will be able to read CSV files in either format. However the multi-line option for the v15 Notes field will be disabled because this feature relies on being able to use a single Line Feed (Excel Alt-Enter) to indicate the end of a line within a field.
Restrict Automatic Preview
When you select a CSV file the program will normally load it straight away. This can become tedious if you regularly import large CSV files. If you tick the "Restrict Automatic Preview to Header row only" box only the first row of the CSV file will be loaded until you explicitly press the Load button.

- Untick the box if you will only be updating existing Addresss. The program will show an error message against any Addresses that do not already exist in Sage 50 as shown in the following screen image
