About Us
Established 1984 but rebranded as Univiz in 2001 and incorporated as Univiz Ltd in 2008. Univiz initially provided freelance bookkeeping and accountancy services and Sage was quickly adopted as the tool of choice. Univiz Ltd has 'grown up' with Sage since version 4 in the good old 'DOS' days, well before Microsoft Windows and the introduction of the mouse, right up to the latest versions. Apart from being fully accredited Univiz probably knows Sage as well as the people who have written it.
Bringing a solid mix of training, consultancy, systems and accountancy experience plus hands-on experience of using Sage 50 accounting programs in various businesses over many years gives Univiz added insight into fitting Sage to real world situations. Univiz was a Sage Reseller for many years and during this time participated and trained in related ecommerce, epos and CRM markets giving a fully rounded business systems knowledge base.
The approach of Univiz is different from most. They start with the client's business needs and requirements, and then fit the systems and / or training to each specific business
- Most people run Sage straight out of the box and then realise when it's too late that they have limited their business accounting system to Sage's default business model instead of fitting the software to their particular business requirements.
Apart from calculating VAT, aged debtors and creditors etc, Sage is fundamentally a database and can provide much meaningful information to help run, plan and monitor your business performance. In much the same way as buildings need good foundations - otherwise they will not stand the test of time, so it is the same with Sage - give some thought to setting it up to your specific business requirements.
